Marc Jacobs causes stir with Dakota Fanning shoot

A week on from his huge night as the CDFA choice for the Lifetime Achievement Award Marc Jacobs is not shying away from the lime light.

This week he is causing a stir in his new ad campaign for new fragrance Oh, Lola! featuring 17-year-old Twilight star Dakota Fanning.

The photographs show Dakota placed in a provocative pose, despite her being a year below the legal age in her home state of California.

The stunner is seen wearing a girly, floating polka dot dress and holding a perfume bottle to her thigh.

Some argue that the whole shoot is designed to look feminine with the air of innocence. Even the gaze of the pretty teen is intent and youthful - connoting conflicting images of sexual intent and innocence.

Marc admits that his intention with the picture was to portray the young woman as tragic character in Vladimir Nabokov's 1955 novel, Lolita. The story tells of a young girls' sexual relationship with an older man, who later becomes her step-father.

And there we were just thinking it was a perfume.
