Diana Meeting Princess Charlotte Will Move You
The Duchess of Cambridge never got to meet her mother-in-law, as you all of course know, but thanks to the magic of Photoshop, "the people's Princess" was able to share a special moment with Kate and her granddaughter.

The image, which is rapidly circulating on Facebook, shows Diana doting on Princess Charlotte as Kate carries her into her christening service. And it was compiled using a picture of Diana meeting with Mother Teresa in August 1997, just two months before her death.

Though it remains a mystery who created the portrait, it was shared by Mary Kohnke, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with the caption: "What a great job at photoshopping ... Let's make this go viral!'" And go viral it has. The comments range from, "Oh how I wish this were real," and "Wow! It gives me goose bumps!" to "This is creepy." Although Diana obviously never made it to her granddaughter's christening, Prince William has ensured that his mother's memory lives on in his children — especially Charlotte who was given "Diana" as one of her middle names. The couple has also chosen to live for the time being in Sandringham, Norfolk, where Diana spent much of her childhood. Diana's ex-bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, shared that this is a symbolic move. "No other royal has made such a statement," the author of Closely Guarded Secret, told People. "They could have chosen St. George's Windsor, but William is keen to subtly keep the legend alive." They've also paid tribute to Diana by appointing her niece, Laura Fellowes, as Princess Charlotte's godmother. And Charlotte's sacred ceremony was held at the very same church that Diana was christened 54 years earlier.
